MORNING: Head over to Crepes on Columbus for breakfast. They serve a range of food from sweet treats like crepes and waffles, to classic New York bites such as cream chesse bagels. This is the perfect way to start off your American adventure.
After breakfast, head on down to Central Park for a stroll. Just a ten-minute walk from breafast, and will be sure to get you in some excercise. If you are feeling up for it, rent a bike and cycle through the park, as this is a great way to get around it quicker,
For fans of the TV series, 'Gossip Girl', take the route which will take you to the Metropiltan Museum of Art which is where the famous school steps from the show are. Be sure to get that Instagram xoxo
AFTERNOON: After a busy morning walking around Central Park, you will be happy to have a bite to eat for lunch. For one day in New York, the only place to eat would be Chelsea Market. It is an urban food hall which boasts a wide range of food including sushi, tacos, ice cream, burgers and much more. There is something for everyone so you will all leave happy.
Chesea Market is right beside the Highline, so after lunch take a walk along this urban park which is above the streets of New York. It is built on an old railway line and boasts views of the city, and also of New Jersey across the river.
After this, jump on the subway to commute like a real New Yorker. Head over to Grand Central Station before dinner to see the world famous train station.
EVENING: For the evening, head over to Times Sqaure where it looks the best once the sun has gone down a bit so you can see all the lights.
Ellen's Stardust Diner is a must for first timers to the area. It is a 50's themed diner, with singing waitresses who are destined to be on Broadway. Any tips the diner makes goes towards singing and acting classes to help the workers with their theatre careers.
After dinner, head into Times Sqaure and be amazed by the vast amount of billboards and lights.
After you have taken in Times Sqaure, head up to the top of the Rockefeller Centre to take in the views of the city as the sun goes down. The sights are breathtaking as you can take in all the skyscrapers and buildings that the city has to offer.
After this jam-packed day, head back for your last good night's sleep of summer before camp starts, and be ready for your camp to pick you up in the morning,
